I realized today that I don't even consider myself an employee of Balsz school. I am just on loan from Griffith. I hate working at Balsz. I am sick and tired of people asking me how I like it there because I hate lying.
I know I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a job, I have 16 adorable students, we have a new rug, we are learning to read, the class is in control more than it is out of control, etc. But I also don't like the IA that has to come in my room everyday, all of the primary teachers annoy me, I don't want to do centers, all of the weird programs they have are...weird, I ruined the basil for dinner, I can't get my kids to do silent reading effectively, I feel exhausted, I miss my friends.
I think the message for today is I want to quit and tell Balsz to shove off and no, I do not want to eat lunch in the teacher's lounge with you.

Hang in there girl, this doesn't sound the sweet Leslie I know. You've been through alot, but it is about the kids and I know they have to absolutely adore you!!! Also, you DO NOT have to eat lunch with anyone you don't want to eat lunch with!!!!! I too will pray for you!!!

Penny is right Lezzzzzzzzzzr...these first graders ADORE you. I know without seeing or talking to them.....They ADORE you!!!!!!
