Happy Halloween and logical consequences.

The class and I celebrated Halloween by making masks, putting on costumes and being in a monster march, eating healthy food, and playing duck, duck, goose together on the playground. It was a great day!

We were the only class with a dog marching with it! This is Princess. She belongs to Oscar's sister.
Here is Oscar as the Incredible Hulk!
The whole gang.
Princess Valeria.
Us waiting for the march to start.

I have one student who has been getting in the habit of calling people names and yesterday, he told one little girl that her stomach was going to explode. So, I put him in time out while I finished what I was doing with the class. While they were working on something, I got him out of time out and we sat down together and made a list of nice things to say to people. We made a whole long list and then I had him pick one to go and say to the little girl. I'm not kidding, he had tears in his eyes walking over there to compliment her. After he did that, I asked him how it felt to do that and he said good. For the rest of the day he was giving compliments to kids on their costumes and masks. It was a perfect example of the way logical consequences can make all the difference in the world.

In memory of the good old days...

And here is our new class pen pal, Ms. Belle Early. Isn't she pretty??

Love,
Miss Bee

Who does the kitty belong to? I love the incredible hulk costume! What were you for halloween, Ms. B?

Ms. Bee decided Halloween was a long day and that she wanted to be more comfortable than costumed...I just wore candy corn leggings and an orange skirt.

Ms. Belle belongs to Sam. She is a special cat that really loves mail. Can you have too many class pen pals? I was wondering about that...they really like writing letters to people.

And I realized that from that post, it seems like Ziggy died. He is alive and well he just got a terrible haircut.
