Green Toe
Well, I finally bought some Simple Shoes. They are wonderful and they are made from post-consumer products like old tires, recycled plastic and recycled paper. They are so cool I want them in every color...size 5.5.
I will also take this time to show off the green present wrapping I did for a baby shower...

Also...this is unrelated and maybe too much information, but on the green kick: have you ever tried seapearls sea sponges or diva cups? They're both alternatives to using tampons and though I haven't tried the diva cup yet, the sponges are incredible. You use one for six months and just wash them out. They're so wonderful. I brought them to Europe and used one multi-pack of tampons (just for the first day and a half when I would have to change the sponge too often) for five months. pandora's pads is a good website to buy them off of/ find other products like them.
They sell some simple shoes at Nordstroms here but they are online as well. Don't be fooled by the website...it told me I should get a size 4 but my true size actual fit when I was fitted in the store.
And I have read all about the sponges and want to try them but...i work with a lot of older women that I don't think would be too cool with me rinsing them out in the communal sink. I have no problem with doing it at the mall or library but at school it would just seem so awkward. Any thoughts...?
that's always my dilemma, too. I just try to find single bathrooms if they're available, otherwise I chance my timing when I think no one will be around and dash in and rinse it out as fast as possible! I'll have to give the dive cups a try and let you know. I don't think they need to be rinsed everytime...just emptied. I'll let you know.
