Why not have rainy day schedule on the first day back? The kids were a little too sleepy and that indoor recess fired them right up.
Played a fun game in math today. We are working on putting numbers in order. I numbered index cards from 1-16 and gave one to each kid. Then I timed them while they tried to put themselves in the correct order. We did it three times, each time trying to get a faster time. Then, I put them in groups of four and they did pretty much the same thing except the numbers were 30-33 or something instead of 1-16. So, the groups raced each other. They were super engaged and it was super entertaining to watch them do it.
The alarm was terrible this morning but today wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Basically, there was no reason to feel like I wanted to quit my job instead of go back to work. Today was fun!
